Welcome to our MISD virtual tour!
This is an important step in our ongoing facility assessment and planning. Our students and staff see every part of our buildings every day. Yet our community is unable to do so.
We would love to have welcomed you into our buildings this fall to see our spaces for yourself. But, like many activities we’ve had to rethink in 2020, we decided to offer these virtual tours as an alternative.


Before we get started, please maximize your internet browser window so the tour runs the best it can. It will have limited functionality on a mobile device.
Once you exit this message (just click the x in the upper right corner), you’ll see a map of our district with five facilities in red and two in yellow. The red facilities are those we asked our architect and engineer team to evaluate as part of this process. The yellow are outside of the scope, but there are images of Longfellow for those of you who may not have seen our newest building in person.
To tour the red buildings, simply click on one. Once you do, you’ll be taken to the facilities. The 360-degree view will automatically start moving. To take over navigation, use your mouse. Every time you click, the hand will form a fist. Much like Google Earth, the fist will allow you to move through the space.
When you see a “play” button, that indicates that a member of our district family has recorded a video telling you about the space. The “i” button indicates there is more information, either photos or text about the space. The arrow and door buttons allow you to move to a new space within the facility.
If you ever get lost in a space, just click on the floor plan button under the MISD and OPN logos in the lower left corner (it’s the one on the far right). That will bring up a floor plan of the building. Click on a red dot to take you to a new place in the building/facility.
Once you’ve see all you want to, click on the location icon (the one right next to the floor plan icon in the lower left corner) and you will return to the overall map. Pick the next building you want to explore and click to enter that facility.
At the end, after you’ve seen our facilities, we would appreciate a few more minutes of your time. There is a link to a survey in the lower left hand corner of the screen (that will allow you to provide us with your valuable input regarding our facility needs). A new window will launch. If you accidentally close it, we’ll also include the survey link on our district webpage. Both the link and this tour will be live on the district website for a few weeks.
