Black Glass Facade
Black is the color of the city


Mies Van Der Rohe – the seminal architect of Seagram Building fame colors his works based on their setting. This seemingly arbitrary propensity serves a practical purpose. He colors his countryside villas white to set off the true colors of the surrounding nature while his urban works are matte black to harmonize with their metropolitan context.


Following his lead and acknowledging that black glass imbues a slightly mysterious sculptural quality, our buildings serve to provide a neutral urban backdrop to the evolving activities and personalities of our tenants.

Perhaps no other material comes with a richer artistic tradition than this marble specifically hewn from the historic quarries of the Italian Apennine Mountains.
