After forming, fasteners undergo a washing process to remove oils, metal shavings, and other contaminants from manufacturing.


This is followed by heat treatment, where the fasteners are heated to a specific temperature and then cooled in a controlled manner to enhance their mechanical properties such as strength, hardness, and durability.

8. Optical sorting & packing

3. Raw material


Seventy percent of raw materials consist of green steel, produced in the EU using ARC furnaces. These furnaces recycle waste from cold metal stamping, significantly reducing carbon emissions. The remaining thirty percent is sourced from traditional processes using virgin raw materials.


At TR Italy, raw materials supplied from Italy, Spain, and Germany are stored in the warehouse for up to two months. From there, materials are moved daily to the production shop floor, ensuring availability for the next 24 hours of cold-forming operations. This proactive handling strategy ensures efficient re-stocking, a steady workflow, and minimized downtime by keeping materials close to the point of use.

In January 2024, we closed the Galvanic plant, improving air quality, cutting water and energy use, and reducing chemical waste to zero.


Step by step, progress has continued. Replacing lamps with LEDs, installing inverter motors, switching from methane heating to efficient heat pumps, recycling oil for reuse in production, and adopting washable cloths to cut waste.


Today, 70% of our raw materials come from green steel produced in the EU with arc furnaces, recycling waste from cold metal stamping and significantly reducing carbon emissions. But our biggest milestone has been solar energy.


The project, made possible through the proactive partnership between Trifast and Inveco, now powers the facility with an impressive solar Panel system generating 1.4 gigawatt hours per year, reinforcing TR's commitment to sustainability.


We currently generate 40% of the energy we use and for the remaining 60%, we are working on sourcing it entirely from certified green energy, produced from renewable sources such as photovoltaic and wind power, rather than fossil fuels.

Due to increasing demand, the T R Italy facility has expandedby 30% to keep up with global growth. With over 14,000 square meters of manufacturing space at our 57,000 square meter facility, our extensive machine capabilities include: wire drawing, cold forming, thread and profile rolling.


We also offer advanced heat treatment, surface treatments, optical sorting, assembly and kitting operations, and bespoke packaging—ensuring the highest standards in every aspect of production and delivery.


We uphold quality, environmental, and safety standards through certifications including, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.


TR Italy has installed an impressive solar panel system which has recently expanded with additional solar panels installed in the adjacent field, generating approximately nine hundred and twenty thousand kilowatt-hours annually. This demonstrates TR's commitment to sustainability.


Next, we move to TR Malaysia, a key player in the automotive industry, producing fasteners for OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.


With over 18,000 square meters of manufacturing space, TR Malaysia specializes in multi-stage forged products, particularly for the automotive sector, including powertrain, braking, and safety-critical components.


Our technical team works closely with customers, offering design and development support, while our Dojo room fosters collaboration on complex product challenges.
